The purpose of this virtual guide is to familiarize you with important issues that arise during the different phases of the preparation of LIFE project and help you evaluate your knowledge needed to prepare a proper LIFE application.
How to use this guide?
First of all, you need to choose one of the two LIFE sub-programmes.
At the top of the page, select Environment subprogramme or Climate action subprogramme.
Then you need to select a specific priority area of the chosen LIFE sub-programme.
Familiarize yourself with the priority areas and projects of the Environment sub-programme.
Below the selected priority area, you will be given a timeline with the most important dates and recommended preparation time.
The purpose of this chart is to help you plan the time needed to prepare the LIFE application and to submit LIFE concept note on time.
Priority area questions are divided into four topics:
Idea, Goal, Theme, Actions and Performance Indicators, Project Budget, Concept Note.
Choose a topic of interest and try answering questions. When you select the answer, you will see relevant information related to the question.
Answer all the questions in the topic - you will get a subject knowledge evaluation. Scores: 0 - 40 - insufficient knowledge of the topic; 41 - 70 - good knowledge of the topic, use the advices you have received; 71 - 100 - you are well prepared for LIFE project application.
A high score does not guarantee the success of a project application, but at least it shows your good knowledge of the LIFE programme.
